The TOEFL Junior® Test

A multiple choice test that is paper delivered, digitally delivered or remotely proctored. The test is designed to: assess the academic and social English-language proficiency of young students ages 11+ provide a snapshot of each student's ability in multiple areas of English-language ability support teaching and learning by giving information about students' abilities in relation to a widely accepted international standard.

 

What is the TOEFL Junior® Test like?

There are two options: the TOEFL JuniorĀ® Standard test measures Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, and Language Form and Meaning. The TOEFL JuniorĀ® Speaking test measures students' ability to communicate orally in English in an academic classroom.

The TOEFL Junior Standard test takes 1 hour 55 minutes.
